BREAKING: 17 Years Old Girl Carried Away By Flood In Surulere.

By: Omolade Adnan. A 17 years old girl was carried away by flood today in Surulere. The heavy rainfall that started this morning made the canal at Alapafuja, Surulere, to be filled up. According to people found at the scene by Leregist reporter, this girl named “Aisha” slipped while trying to push an object close to the canal. She fell into the canal which was filled up with water, while rain was still falling.

The Spot Where The Incident Happened

She struggled to stay afloat and call for help but before she could be rescued by people that saw her, she had drowned. A woman said she is supposed to sit for this year’s WAEC.  According to a woman that our reporter spoke with around 5:30 pm, people are still looking for Aisha. The Majority Leader of the Legislative Arm of Surulere LG, Hon. Ajenifuja Taiwo Pompollo was present at the scene. He went there to commiserate with the family and the people of the community.
