The Lagos State Government placed a ban on Motorcycles (Okada, Opay, Gokada) and Tricycles (Keke Napep) in the State, which will take effect on the 1st of February, 2020. This means that the motorcycles and tricycles would not be allowed in some Local Government ( Including Surulere LG) Areas, Local Council Development Areas ( Including Itire-Ikate and Coker-Aguda) and Highways in the State. However, this ban does not affect the operations of Dispatch riders in the State according to the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Lagos State Governor on New Media, Mr. Jubril A. Gawat.
