Hon. Kolawole Oyewole (Supervisor for Health, Surlere LG and Chairman of Supervisor for Health Forum, Lagos State) embarked on an advocacy for breastfeeding of babies in Surulere LG. He also delivered a lecture on breastfeeding during the post-natal session at Akerele Primary Health Centre, Surulere yesterday 16th November, 2019.
During the lecture, the Honourable emphasized the importance of breastfeeding to babies which includes: protection against allergies and eczema, causes less stomach upset, diarrhea, and constipation than formula, reduction in the risk of viruses, urinary tract infections, inflammatory bowel disease, gastroenteritis, ear infections, and respiratory infections among others. He urged mothers to practice the culture of breastfeeding, because it helps to keep their babies healthy. See photos below:
