The First and Second Readings of the Bye Law on Executive Bills held on the 25th of July 2019.
This was after the presentation of the Bills which were presented by the Executive Chairman Surulere Local Government, Hon. Tajudeen Ajide, to the Legislative arm of the council on the 11th of July 2019.The reading was done on the floor of the chamber by all members of the House, headed by the leader of the house, Hon. Barakat Akande.
The Bills were thereafter presented to the House Committee on Revenue and Council services which is chaired by Hon. Ijitola Oluwasegun Emmanuel, ward F3.
The House Committee was charged with the responsibilities of correcting and scrutinizing the Bills within period of (2) weeks for a feedback to the house before embarking on public hearing of the Bills.
The Revenue Bills consists of cutting of Trunk C Tarred Road, street naming, Regulation, Registration of dry cleaning and laundry house, private/public Toilet and other connected purposes, Liquor and Allied product, offer for sale permit, motorcycle (okada) and tricycle for commercial purpose, Regulations and control, Radio and Television Bye Law, shop/kiosk rate and a Bye- law to regulate the operation of car wash within Surulere Local Government.
In attendance were legislative members of the council including the leader Hon. Barakat Akande.
