Ikorodu Local Government Chairman Wins Best Performing Local Government Chairman Award, Gets A Ten Seater Serena Bus.

Hon. Wasiu Adesina ( Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government) won the award of best performing Local Government Chairman at the National Merit House Abuja. Read his gratitude message below:

“With a heart filled with joy and gratitude to Almighty God, I write to thank everyone that stood solidly by me to record another landmark achievement in my political career and in service delivery to my good people of Ikorodu.

Yesterday was a day of reckoning as Local Government Chairmen gathered at the National Merit House Abuja. Performances of Local Government Chairmen were being exhibited and to God be the glory, Ikorodu Local Government was awarded the BEST PERFORMING LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN LAGOS STATE.

Quite a well packaged programme I must say. I met several other Local Government Chairmen from Northern and Eastern states who had come for the same purpose. To glory of God, my award came with a branded ten seater serena bus.

I want to cease this opportunity to thank my National, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, my leader and mentor, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye for making out time to identify with me as far as Abuja without taking a dime from me. Chief Olorunfunmi Bashorun, Hon. Abike Dabire Erewa,  Chairman Diaspora Commission equally came to add glamour to the event. It was such a joyous moment for me. Honourable Babajimi Benson equally sent his kind words from Lagos with a package for everyone at Abuja. This award, I want to dedicate to the good people of Ikorodu for being so supportive and patient with us.

In all honesty, we are doing the most we could given the available resources. Like the Former Governor of Lagos State Mr Babatunde Fashola said, the reward for hardworking is more work.

This award is no doubt going to spur us to do more. The little we have done, we did not do them because we wanted to win an award. We did them out of selfless service to our hometown. There is a place for motivation in Management. This is a motivation and by God’s grace, all our hope and prayers for our dear Ikorodu shall come to pass”
